Design - Assessment - Safety Our team of engineers offer expertise in the design, assessment and repair of structures formed using steel, reinforced concrete and modern fibre reinforced polymers. State-of-the-art computer software enables advanced static and dynamic, linear and non-linear behaviour can be analysed by our team of engineers and mathematicians. Using similar expertise, we are frequently involved in studies to reassess structures to the latest information and techniques - thereby extending the working life of the structure. When a structure reaches the end of its life, we are able to plan decommissioning and removal strategies to minimise human, environmental and commercial risks. Safety and Reliability Engineering enables structures and processes to be optimised in terms of cost versus benefit. State-of-the-art risk assessment models can be integrated with advanced analytical methods to assist our clients to reduce unnecessary cost while providing all-round safety. Where accidents and failures have occurred, these can be investigated using our Forensic Engineering skills to determine the most likely cause, whether these be systems failures, inadequate design, human error or material degradation. Such Expert Opinion is increasingly being exploited in dispute resolution.
